About Pavle

Pavle Savic Cellist

Pavle Savić, born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1990 has since his youngest years been showing unwavering dedication and passion for the world of music. His educational path led to the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where he completed his bachelor's and master's degrees and specialization in solo cello performance under Prof. Dragan Djordjevic. Pavle honed his skills in masterclasses with renowned cellists, including Gautier Capuçon, Antonio Menezes, Ksenija Janković and Kristofer Rihter. Pavle's passion for chamber music started in high school, evolving into award-winning performances with piano trios. He was a member of the string quartets "Vollmond" and the "Praški gudački kvartet," having toured successfully in China with the latter. Pavle also shared his talents playing in many Serbian and international orchestras as tutti or solo cellist which led him to tour across Europe, China, and Japan and collaborate with artists such as Denis Macujev, Valeri Gergiev, Juri Bašmet, Roman Simović, and Stefan Milenković. His orchestra experience extended beyond live performances, as he also participated in recordings with the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon.

It is exactly the world of recording where Pavle's unique music and personal talents shine the brightest. Resonating deeply with the intricacies of music recording, Pavle has the knack for finding exactly what composers want through both a deep understanding of different styles and the instrument's possibilities and the talent for communication.
